Performs this appear to be you? You have a mini-recording studio in a tiny space...away from the distractions of family. Or, is the laptop/PC recording central? Do you must hold back until your family is dreaming to obtain some creative in time? It's 2am and you are in the moment, strumming, tinkling on the keyboard, putting down some beats, singing to your screen and posting online. "Man, this sounds a lot better than what's about the radio", you inform yourself. If only...

Here are a few of the questions I hear every day:
How should i have the money I have to get my album going?
My credit is shot and i also can barely make ends meet, exactly what are my options?
No one's ever encountered me, what's it likely to cost to advertise on my own?
How will i get the attention of the Major Label?
It's hard to keep up with every one of the technology changes, where should i invest time?
I require a great singer or guitarist or lyrics, but how can one find a way to bring in help?
I'll answer these questions, first of all, some stats to place all this in perspective.
Based on Netcraft you can find over 230 million live websites active at the time of June 2009. What percentage are focused on music alone? Hard to say - however let you know that MySpace claims 27% of their pages (110 million active pages) are music pages. That's about $ 30 million recording artists, primarily independent or unsigned on MySpace alone. Using the MySpace percentage on all live websites (yes, I am aware it is not scientifically accurate - but I'm painting a picture here), that would infer that 6.Two million websites are focused on the background music industry. That's a great deal of websites. You need to be really clever to obtain attention when 36 million other artists are attempting to do the same task!
Some recording artists want celebrity, but a majority of just want to earn an appropriate living wage in the something which makes their hearts beat faster, their brains work overtime and puts a grin on people's faces. There's hope!
